From hadron to meson Package Diagrams and focus BDDs

The model elements elicited from the snippets about mesons can then be collated along with concise versions of the snippets in Package Diagrams and focus BDDs:

Before we can have any more detail on some concrete baryons and mesons we'll need finally to dive into quarks a bit. We'll also be leaving the mesons topic for now because it's almost time to model a Neutron and Proton.

[CONVENTION, DISPLAY, MODELLING, STYLE, TIP]{STRONG} Webel: SysMLv1: Highly recommend creating a "focus" Block Definition Diagram (BDD) for each main Block with expanded feature details and relationships to at least nearest neighbours

[NAMING, TIP]{OPTION} Optionally suffix the "focus" BDD for a Block with '.bdd' so that it won't clash with a corresponding IBD on diagram export. This is not a SysMLv1 concern, it is purely a workflow concern. It has the slight disadvantage that BDD may "indicated" twice.

In particle physics, mesons are hadronic subatomic particles composed of one quark and one antiquark, bound together by strong interactions.

All mesons are unstable, with the longest-lived lasting for only a few hundredths of a microsecond.

Charged mesons decay (sometimes through mediating particles) to form electrons and neutrinos.

Uncharged mesons may decay to photons.

Unlike leptons, quarks possess color charge, which causes them to engage in the strong interaction.
