Ever ended up pulling out your hair or losing it anyway because it just falls out when using Automatic Cell Grouping mode in Mathematica? Turn if off by setting Cell > Grouping > Manual Grouping, then relax , as you can finally get the otherwise powerful and useful cell grouping facility to work as you expect.
If you have trouble getting the Group Cells action to work as expected, make sure each group of direct sub-cells is grouped at the same nesting level before applying Group Cells. To get this right, you might have to group so lower levels correctly first (especially if Automatic Cell Grouping mode has mangled them).
